The art drug dRT is an ingestible object used to induce an art work within its consumer. The artwork is a life size sculpture of the world. The drug posit its consumer into a myriad of world states. The project situates artworks within the body, exploring the notion of communicating ideas through the digestive system before entering the mind.
Bio
Willy Le Maitre is a media artist based in Toronto. His work has been presented at The New Museum, the Kitchen, FIMA in Victoriaville Quebec., ICMC and ISEA. His work has received numerous grants and awards including LIFE 3.0 in Madrid and The Telefilm Canada prize at the Images Festival.
