The ephemeral art of cyanotype printing
by Emily Comeau
This project is a series of time-based drawings that require no interaction or performance by the artist beyond the initial creation of the image. The medium through which the drawing is created undergoes chemical change, altering the drawing over time. Parts of each drawing fade or sharpen during the exposition.
Bio
I am a recent graduate of Concordia University and a member of Diagonale, volunteering when I can. My practice is largely fibre based but ranges from installation to electronics and everything in between. My recent work experiments with narrative and explores the subjectivity and transience of memory.
