In recent years, many artists and scientists have come to appreciate the fertile potential of sharing information and strategies across disciplines. Art and science are both invested in the communication of knowledge and understanding. They are both theoretical, and they both have practical applications.

Sometimes, both artists and scientists find themselves in unfamiliar and exciting territory, probing at new ways of knowing, and working to develop new ways to communicate that knowledge.

Both art and science are important aspects of everyday life. Almost all creative projects require a little bit of both. Everyone with a passionate project will develop their own special hybrid expertise.

The list of art and science links on this page represents a few of our favourite groups and organisations who engage in cultural cross-pollination. Send us a link for your art and science organisation, project or event!

  • I invented the solar design t-square, clam shaped solar cooker reflectors, and I have got very close to a good design for the tracking solar accumulator in the last 6 months.
Please feel free to use any of them that you like in your arts and science project.
My work on equatorial mount for solar cooking is definitely worth spreading.
The liquid piston tracker might make a very nice display item.
    Thank You

  • I always loved biology as a kid and thought I was going to be the world’s youngest geneticist. However, I ended up happier in the arts. The projects depicted on this website is a series of small social experiments that together create a love letter to the city of Montreal. In the warehouse circus I created I combined all my loves: a little bit of science, a little bit of performance all mixed in with a dash of visual art and sound experimentation.
